Who are we?
New Europeans is an award-winning civil rights movement working for a Europe of citizens – a democratic Europe of equality and social justice, anchored in human rights.
What do we do?
Europe is not just a union of states, it is also a union of people. To continue living together in peace and prosperity, we need to bring Europe to life for the citizens. This is what we do.
Where are we located?
We work in Europe and internationally from our base at the Brussels Press Club. We are active in the EU, as well as in the United Kingdom, Belarus, the Ukraine and North America.
Which issues do we cover?
To take the European project to the next level we need to work on the foundations – rule of law, human rights, solidarity, and democracy. This is the current focus of our work.
When do we meet?
During COVID we meet online through events such as The Tuesday Conversation or the Friday Casebook as well as through team-building events and chapter meetings.
Why does it matter?
As citizens, we hold the future in our hands. We have a voice, we have a vote and we share responsibility for what happens next in Europe.
How are we funded?
We are funded through membership subscriptions, donations and grant-funded project income. Membership income is vital because it gives us independence and legitimacy.
As a member, you will help sustain a network of passionate Europeans who are working to build a Europe of the citizens.
