The centre-right has regained power in Greece after a sweeping general election victory.
The conservatives captured 39.8 per cent of the vote and 158 seats in the 300-member parliament, while Syriza, the leftwing party of Alexis Tsipras, took 31.5 per cent and gained 86 seats.
New Democracy candidates finished first in a majority of constituencies with multiple seats.
The Greek constitution rewards the winning party with an additional 50 seats in parliament to ensure a stable majority.
In Crete, traditionally a leftwing stronghold, Syriza maintained its dominance.
Michael Arapis, who is a board member of New Europeans, was invited to comment on the results in an interview on Channel 4 News.
