Mark Lazarowicz

Mark Lazarowicz was Labour MP for Edinburgh North and Leith from 2001 – 2015, serving in both front bench and back bench roles. Prior to becoming an MP, he had been Leader of Edinburgh Council. He is a lawyer, practising as an advocate at the Scottish Bar.

His father was Polish, who served in the Polish air force with the RAF in the UK, during WW2. His mother was English. Mark was born in London, and has lived in Edinburgh since 1977.
