I have lived and worked in Warwickshire at the southern end of the West Midlands for the past seventeen years.

I worked as a GP in Rugby for nearly ten years, as a tutor at Warwick Medical School and latterly as a Consultant in Public Health for Warwickshire County Council for four years.

I took early retirement in 2017 to care for my mother who has dementia. Sadly she got worse more quickly than expected and moved into a specialist care home last year.

I feel passionately that the UK should remain in the EU both personally - half my family are Polish and we have strong Italian connections - but more importantly professionally, because I know that any version of Brexit would further damage the NHS, already struggling with staff shortages, problems with pharmacy supplies and loss of international co-operation on research and disease control since all the Brexit uncertainty began.

People would also be poorer after Brexit, and having seen food poverty at first hand I know this would also harm people’s health. I am standing for Change UK/The Independent Group because we must fight for a People’s Vote, fight to remain in the EU and thereby protect our NHS.
