For solidarity in Europe: Sing along to the big European anthem project!
On May 9th, Europe Day, a huge Europe-wide online choir is emerging – a joint appeal of the people of Europe for more solidarity: We are united in diversity! During this crisis, we don’t need less Europe.
We need more Europe! Now is the time to be visible. Now is the time to raise our voices for European solidarity.
Today is the online start of the digital European hymn project ‘United in Diversity’: 19 renowned singers have reinterpreted the European anthem “Ode to Joy” as a modern, atmospheric and lively anthem for European solidarity.
The singers spontaneously agreed to this elaborate three-part and multilingual music production in order to encourage people all over Europe to sing with them and thus to create a huge European online choir within a short time.
As of today, people across Europe are invited to sing a part of the anthem and thus become part of the final “Big Video”, which will premiere on Europe Day, May 9th, 2020.
The closing date for entries is Wednesday, May 6th, at noon. You can find the video here. Here is the video
