Wiard Sterk rrained as an Art Historian and worked for over two decades in senior management positions in creative agencies.

In partnership with private and public sector organisations and communities, he initiated and delivering creative public realm interventions, provided strategic input into local and national policy and devised and implemented international conference programmes.
Currently he works as a freelance creative consultant, providing strategic advice to local authorities and housing associations in Wales on the benefits of creative partnerships in engaging complex and diverse communities and assist the physical regeneration and renewal of neighbourhoods. In addition he works as a freelance Dutch to English translator.
He was elected Chair of RSA Wales/Cymru in 2014 and has represented Wales on the RSA Fellowship Council since 2010.
Born and raised in the Netherlands, Wiard has lived in the UK for over thirty years.
