Tim's career at the heart of European policy-making started with the EPP Group in the European Parliament (EP) in 1995 as the English language press spokesman, then as the Group policy adviser to the EP Development and Cooperation Committee, before joining in 2004 the Group's newly established Political Strategy Unit.

He has also worked for the Japan Art Association, and as an investment analyst in the private sector.
In 2010, Tim was elected to the general assembly of the EPP's Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies. He is also on the Executive Committee of The European Atlantic Movement (TEAM Global), and in June 2015 joined the Steering Group of Brussels-based Pro Europa.
