Tamsin Koumis

London Project Development Officer

Tamsin graduated from the University of London with a Bachelor in Social Anthropology, specialising in migration studies. 

In 2016 she co-founded Dunkirk Legal Support Team, a grassroots advocacy group working in Dunkirk refugee camp, France; and she campaigned for the protection of unaccompanied minors in the camp. 

Prior to this, she worked as a research assistant for UNESCO-UK, working in particular on the ‘Wider Value of UNESCO to the UK’ report. 

During University and since, she has worked with a number of organisations supporting migrants in London and in Northern France including SDS, Hackney Migrant Centre, Akwaaba, Association of Visitors to Immigration Detainees, and Safe Passage (Citizens UK). 

She is currently completing a Year Here social enterprise fellowship, and is also a member of MigrationWork research consultancy
