Grace is an undergraduate student at Goldsmiths University, reading Anthropology.
She previously studied the International Baccalaureate at a school in London and it is the combination of metropolitan life and studying with a global perspective that has made her so committed to finding connected and international solutions to political and economic problems.
A keen debater, having captained her school team, Grace;s interes has now progressed into teaching – she works for Debate Mate, an educational charity whose aim is to tackle inequality through teaching debating, giving students in areas of high poverty access to the transferable skills that debating brings.
This academic year Grace has decided to interrupt her studies in order to set up two of her own initiatives, both of which are focused on female education. She also work weekly for Shelter, a charity fighting to end homelessness, helping to plan and organise events for people who are or have been homeless, and to ask their advice on how we can better run our organisation to suit their needs.
"I am deeply committed to open discussion and communication across borders and it is for this reason that I think the work of the New Europeans is so important."
